Heather Farm Park
North San Carlos Drive at Heather 101 acres, swimming pool complex, softball fields, equestrian center. Home of the Walnut Creek Aquanuts synchronized swim teams. Pool hours: Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.; Sat-urday and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. Pool fees: $3 per person or $48 per month. Information: (925) 943-5856.

Lindsay Museum
First and Buena Vista avenues
Nationally renowned wildlife museum and rehabilitation center offering educational programs. Accepts injured wildlife from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during fall and winter and from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. during spring and summer. Museum open noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends from September to June. Summer hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
